How great is it to watch Prince George grow up in front of us! It was great to be able to log onto the internet today and amazing portraits of Prince George, Queen Elizabeth II and her family (including the corgis) taken at home in the castle. They really must be building up an amazing collection of images to treasure.
You can see the images here as presented in the Vanity Fair article by Julie Miller
You don’t have to be a queen to have a beautiful portrait of your family be memorialised and treasured. But the excuses get in the way – need to lose some weight first, too expensive, don’t have the time, don’t know where to look. What we lose most though is the time, the time to have this moment in life recorded.
I know first hand what this is like. In a weeks’ time I am going to be waking up to a four-year old running around the house. She’s FOUR! Where did the time go? It’s crazy. The one thing I am grateful for (and so is Emma after the event) is that we took the time a year ago to have our portrait taken with Society Photography (read post here ). And now we have a two images on display on our wall in the lounge room that are the most treasured item in our lives (apart from each other).
